About me…

I specialize in anxiety, trauma, and life transitions and have extensive training in trauma-focused methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through the International Association EMDRIA. I am nationally certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and I utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a foundation for personal growth and self-understanding.

As a queer person, I have special interest in working with LGBTQ+ folks and have experience writing letters for gender affirming care.

With a trauma lens, I tend to dive into what's truly underneath, therapy can take time! AND as an action-oriented person, expect to take home tools to help you in the day-to-day and goals/homework for you to focus on while I'm not around.

I enjoy working with a range of ages as long as it fits within my specialty.

So... What Is Individual Therapy, Anyway?

At its core, individual therapy is a one-on-one space just for you. It’s a chance to talk through what’s going on—past or present—with someone who’s here to listen, not judge. We’ll explore patterns, work through tough emotions, and help you feel more grounded and in control. It’s not about having all the answers or being “fixed”—it’s about making space for healing, growth, and self-understanding.

What’s EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a unique type of therapy that helps you heal from hard or overwhelming experiences—especially trauma. It doesn’t require you to talk in detail about everything that happened. Instead, it helps your brain process stuck memories so they feel less intense and don’t take over your present. It’s kind of like helping your mind finally file things away where they belong, so you can move forward with more ease.

We use guided eye movements (or other forms of bilateral stimulation - like pulsers that buzz back and forth) to help your brain “reprocess” memories so they don’t feel as overwhelming or trigger strong emotions.

Finding the right fit matters…

Therapy is personal—like, really personal—so it’s OK to shop around! Therapy is a vulnerable space, and you deserve to feel safe, seen, and supported.

We can schedule a 15-minute consultation to see if the vibe is right. This is your space, and it should feel right.

After we chat, we can discuss steps moving forward if we agree it’s the right fit.

How to find me…

I’m located in the Gilbert Building in Lowertown St. Paul. My office is on the second floor in suite 250.

If you’re lucky, the guest parking spot (to the left of the building) will be available (and free). If not, there is plenty of metered street parking (especially around Mears Park!) or a public (pay) parking lot down the street.

I also offer virtual sessions.

Let’s talk about money - no surprises here…

I know therapy is an investment, and I want it to be as accessible and transparent as possible. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots for folks who need some flexibility—just let me know if that would be helpful for you.

Thanks to the No Surprises Act, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate so you’ll always know what to expect when it comes to the cost of your care. No hidden fees, no surprises—just support you can plan for.

Clinical Supervision

Supervision is one of my favorite parts of this work— I enjoy supporting others on their professional journey!

I value the supervision process as a space for growth, reflection, and professional development, and I’m committed to providing a supportive and ethically grounded experience.

I'm an approved supervisor with the MN Board of Social Work (for those pursuing their LICSW) and the MN Board of Behavioral Health (for those working toward their LPCC).

If you're looking for supervision or have questions, feel free to reach out—I’d love to connect!
