When I’m not in session…
I live just outside of St. Paul with my wife, two cats, and two dogs—including a 100-pound Bernese Mountain Dog who’s convinced he’s a lap dog. Our home is full of cozy chaos, and we’re excited to be adding even more to it—our first child is due in August 2025.
I genuinely love being a therapist. I’m constantly learning—whether through attending conferences, reading new books in the field, or listening to podcasts about current approaches and ideas in therapy. I care deeply about growing in my work and expanding how I show up—both in the therapy room and in life.
Outside of therapy, I’m all about creativity. This is where I really embrace my imperfections. You can find me making wobbly pottery or knitting things with uneven sides. Recently, I’ve gotten into embroidery—and let’s just say there’s been a lot of tangled thread and a fair amount of accidentally poking myself with the needle.
As a trauma therapist, I believe strongly in the mind-body connection. Yoga is one of my go-to ways to stay grounded. I know it sounds simple, but breathing really does matter—it’s one of our most underrated tools for regulating the nervous system and returning to balance.
I aim to bring my full, authentic self into the work I do. I'm a big believer in connection, compassion, and the power of being human—messy edges and all.
